Scholastic's Computer Lab Favorites
Scholastic.com has always been one of my favorites site. I always check out the site to see "what's new to me" at the beginning of the school year. I really love their Computer Lab Favorites. Teachers or students can choose between the fifty short (15-30) activities on the site. Science activities like "States of Matter" can be used for introducing the science concept. Bookmark the site for students to practice skills in academic areas. The site also has activities in Spanish.

Need a Numberline?
Teaching students how to read a ruler is tough on a good. It is a grea help when you have a visual for them to see in addition to the numberline or ruler on their desk. Maths online has a lovely decimal ruler with a number of options. Check it out at: http://www.mathsonline.co.uk/freesite_tour/resource/whiteboard/decimals/decimals2.html. Let me know how if you like it.
